If there is one thing I can’t stop thinking about or talking about this week, it's the two words WILLING FAITH. When the topic first hit my mind, I didn’t think anything of it until God brought me to the source–my cousin!
On my mom's side, I have about 14 cousins, whom I love very much. They all live (what feels like) millions of miles away, but a few months ago one came to visit us. It was the best time ever and our relationship has grown so much since that week–I have gotten to talk to her more about Jesus, the holy habits we practice, the books we love, and more. I have had the absolute joy of getting to share my faith with her and be a small part of leading hers.
I’m pretty sure she’s the most willing person I know, and I admire her willingness. Every time I bring up a new Bible plan I start or share how I am seeking Jesus that week; she wants in on it too and that excites me so much! We have bonded over devotionals, church sermons, worship songs, and sweet Jesus conversations. It’s her willingness to do whatever it takes to know Jesus more, her willingness to seek a true, intimate relationship with Jesus that makes me inspired. I think we all should walk with that same willingness.
If we claim to want to know Jesus more, we must be willing to open our Bible and take in God’s word.
If we claim to want to follow God's calling, we must be willing to say YES to everything He calls us to, even the uncomfortable things.
If we want to hear God, we must be willing to learn His character and talk to Him too.
Here are some questions I had to ask myself and encourage you to ask:
Jesus did everything for us, EVERYTHING.
Are you willing to do anything for Him?
Are you willing to drop everything and follow Him?
Are you willing to face persecution for the King of the World?
Are you willing to make time daily to grow with your Father?
If you're wanting, be willing. Willing faith grows our faith.
