I have known OF the Lord since I was little. I grew up in a Christian home, going to church every Sunday and learning about a man name Jesus.

However, it wasn’t until 2022 that I recommitted my life to Christ and then in April of this year I declared that Jesus was my Lord and Savior through baptism.

Baptism is a declaration of your commitment to Christ. However this is just a step in your journey of faith.

The bigger commitment is choosing to follow Jesus for the rest of your life.

Everyday, we have the decision to follow Jesus or not.

I remember my baptism so vividly. I was surrounded by my family, friends and all of my church family.

At my church, baptism is hugely celebrated; with confetti cannons popping and air horns blowing!

When I came up from the water, I felt so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love. It was a celebration like no other.

My life was forever changed- I wasn’t living an earthly life anymore, I am now living a life focused on the will of God.

The transformation of one’s life deserves to be celebrated. When choosing Jesus wholeheartedly, there should be confetti cannons and air horns! It’s a big deal!

Celebrate choosing Jesus! Heaven is going crazy with you! Praise the Lord for all that He has done, and for making you new.
