don’t be late to life.
You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.” Luke 12:40
In last weeks blog I addressed the passing of my uncle and how we can find joy in the hardships, but that’s not the only takeaway I had from his funeral.
My uncles daughter had an enormous amount of bravery to get up, speak in front of a big crowd and share about the wonderful person her dad was. Her dad had so many great, unforgettable lines, yet I haven’t stopped thinking about the quote she ended her speech with.
She said he would continuously remind her of one thing- “Don’t be late to life.”
Wow! That has really designated with me. I think this applies to all of our lives! Sometimes we think we have more time than we do, but when we wait too long our time runs out and we may regret the things we waited to do or the person we waited to be.
God is the only one to know our final day’s end. He’s the only one to know when our final breathe is taken, and He doesn’t want us to wait to follow the purpose He has for our lives. When God calls, we should go.
I’ve learned through death that life is so much shorter than we may think. There is so much life to be lived and not a moment to waste. Do the thing. Be the person. Make the move.
When God calls you, go. If you aren’t sure about the Christianity thing, I invite you to reach out to me. I’d love to answer any questions you have and help you in your walk.
Jesus is ready for you to experience full freedom in a life with Him, and He is ready to watch you begin LIVING.🤍
