made to be the rough draft.

 As I’m writing this, I sit wearing a sweatshirt that says ORIGINAL on it. I went into this blog not knowing what I was going to write about, but then I realized my topic was right on me! 

The word ORIGINAL is pretty straight forward. Like, original chips (ones with no flavoring), or the original design (the first one made). 

 In today's world, it can be hard for us to truly know someone by their original design, as people strive to be someone they are not just because they think it's who they are meant to be.

 We can never truly know who we are meant to be if we don’t have God. I mean, it's as simple as the truth that God literally made us, formed us in our mothers womb, and continues to shape us in our day to day lives. He knows our life cover to cover, and if there is one thing God says we are made to be, it's original.

 Think about it like this, your life is not a rough draft working to be perfected. It's actually just a rough draft and that's the beauty of it all. God wants YOU with all the mistakes, hardships, and bumps in the road. He doesn’t want you perfected, He doesn’t even want your image corrected by someone else. 

 You know that feeling when you turn in your final paper and it goes to get graded? Well, when you get to the gates of Heaven, God is going to wonder if you stuck to the draft and didn’t strive for perfection.

 The only perfect person is…. 

  Did you already finish my sentence? JESUS & no matter how hard we try, it's always only going to be Jesus.

  BE ORIGINAL. Not flavored with a little spice and not corrected by other people. Stay true to the rough draft you were meant to be because in God's eyes, you are perfectly designed!
