so do not fear.
Isaiah 41:10- So do not fear for I am with you, do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
This verse right here may be my favorite verse out of the bible. As someone who struggles with anxiety on a daily basis, this verse brings me so much comfort in knowing the Lord is with me.
Whenever I begin to fear, I start speaking this verse over me, and is it just me or do you emphasize the “for I am with you”. Like whenever I say it I start it out normal and then move into, for iiiiiiiiiii am with you. Like GOD is with me! Did you get that?
Anyways, anxiety… one of the most common (and annoying) tactics of the enemy. See, the enemy is really coming at you with the thoughts you don't want to have. He just wants to ruin your day and make you believe it's God telling you all the lies. It’s your job to not just rely on God in those moments, but really “Slap fear in the face”! (Sadie Robertson Huff)
When we begin to fear an upcoming event or that something bad will happen, our first instinct is to feed the fear, let it win, and maybe not attending that upcoming event due to the fear.
If we are being honest, feeding the fear is only going to make it worse.. Satan will keep bringing it on and going to battle with you. - annoying right?
The greatest thing of all time is that we have God on our side. We can rest in knowing that He is with us, will never leave us, and has already won the battle.
When you begin to fear, feeling like you are alone and there is no way out, speak Isaiah 41:10 over yourself and remind yourself of God’s promises. Really put the emphasis on “for iiii am with you”. Don't let fear win, but let God's faithfulness.
The fear will come and will be great, but God is greater. And you will be ready to fight back knowing these 5 points:
God never fails
God always keeps His promises
Not once has God lost a battle
The outcome is not in your control, but in Gods
God only puts the toughest battles in front of the strongest soldiers.
