running too fast?

It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. Deuteronomy 13:4 NIV

Are ready to be hit with some thought provoking questions?

Have you ever felt the call of God?

If yes to #1, have you run into it or have you run far from it?

Where do you feel you are now in my relationship with the Lord?

Have you given Him control of it all?

Okay, now that I got you thinking, let’s talk about running with the call of God.

Running into what God has called us to is so very important! We must be careful to not run so fast that we are running ahead of God!

I don’t know about you, but I am not a runner.  I’m sure many of you are. I have watched track meets and the whole goal of the race is to pass everyone, allowing you to get first… duh. And though that may be true for the sport aspect of running, it is not so true for the God aspect.

  Let's make a little visual:

God, the creator of all things, is in 1st place right now, obviously. You don't really know where you are going, so you begin to follow God, great! But, you start to lose track of your speed, putting you way ahead in first.. Now, you no longer know where to go!

Have you ever lost your way?

Running to the call of God is one thing, but running right past God is another.

God is like your GPS and when you get called into something, you have no clue what the future holds, but God does! We should always let God lead so that we know where to go.

God knows our future and our everyday way more than we do, and we have to trust that.

I challenge you to evaluate yourself.

How are you responding to the call God has put on your heart?

 Are you letting God lead?

Slow down. Take a breath, and let God continue to guide you.

In all things, give it to God!

Stop. Slow down. Take a breath. Give back all control to the Lord.
