God made humans. He made them to be like himself. He made some of them males and some of them females.

I recently posted a “dear teenage girl, just be yourself” picture on instagram and I wanted to elaborate a bit more on that topic. Being yourself can be easier said than done right? As teenagers we are consumed with so many options of new trends and styles everyday.
In the age we live in, trends change every second, yet we want to try to keep up with each and every one of them - no problem with that right?! It can be so overwhelming!
Have you ever asked yourself if you really like the trend you're following… and if this new trend helps you stay true to the person God created you to be?
We are all made in the image and likeness of God. We are made to be different, and made to be ourselves!
I love the words of wisdom Dr. Suess brings us! For example he writes, “why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
God doesn’t want us to be like every other person at school.
God doesn’t want us to be like every other person at all!
He wants us to be ourselves- who HE truly created in HIS own image, and no other version.
Maybe you think you have to change yourself to become part of a “popular group” or if you want to be “in” you need to follow a certain trend. New trends are captivating and fun, but if you don’t really like it and it doesn’t allow you to be you, maybe think twice about following.
God loves us for who we are, and just the way we are! That is all that matters.
