Holy Spirit, you are welcome here.
When I reflect on this week, I can only be reminded of the song, "Holy Spirit" by Jesus Culture.
These lyrics:
"Holy Spirit you are welcome here, come flood this place and fill the atmosphere"
describe this past week for me! The Holy Spirit has been so clearly present in my life and I have to share it with you all.
This past week my church had an amazing worship night with PASSION. The best moment of the night was a prayer over one of our friends who doesn’t really know the Lord. She attended, we prayed, and we asked God to speak to her through worship and through the message.
During the sermon I was just like "Wow God!" The message was so great! A message for all of us, especially those who may be seeking the Lord for the first time. It was on the general idea of letting go of shame, giving it to the Lord, and walking free. What a moment and what a night! Hearts were filled, tears were shed, and we ended the night jumping up and down for Jesus.
Later in the week I had the amazing opportunity to worship with friends and family at the Zach Williams concert! If you have never heard of his music, RUN- don't walk! Go listen!
I always knew that the Lord goes from glory, to glory, to glory, to… can you guess? GLORY! But, this is one of the first times I've seen Him so clearly play that truth out.
During the concert, my best friend and I fell to our knees in worship. The song was "Fear Is A Liar" and in that moment we released all our fears to the Lord. We cried.. a lot. We laughed.. a lot. And we just couldn’t thank Jesus enough for what He has done in our lives.
Some friends of ours came to know Jesus more and I truly believe the Kingdom grew that night. Thank you Jesus!
Take from this blog three things:
We always need a moment of worship. Releasing our fears and hurts, and just worshiping the King of Kings.
Our God never stops, never fails, never changes.
There is hope for the lost!
