in the Word.
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about this blog and really, the only thing God has placed on my heart recently is HIS Word. I feel like this week He has told me to just share scripture and remind people about the amount of power it has!
So, in this blog I’m going to give you some scripture for when you are hurt, lonely, anxious and feeling hopeless.
Here is what I like to call: Live As Light’s 4 scriptures for 4 topics!
Hurt: Jesus comforts.
The lowly he sets on high, and those who mourn are lifted to safety. - Job 5:11
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 2 Corinthians 1:3
He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Psalms 147:3
So with you: Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy. John 16:22
Lonely: God is with you.
Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me. Psalms 27:10
For the sake of his great name the LORD will not reject his people, because the LORD was pleased to make you his own. 1 Samuel 12:22
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families,he leads out the prisoners with singing; but the rebellious live in a sun-scorched land. Psalms 68:5-6
I will never leave you or forsake you. Hebrews 13:5
Anxious: Do not be afraid.
Fun Fact: Did you know that 365 times in the bible it says DO NOT FEAR! Things may be scary but, with the Lord on our side, we don't have to be afraid!
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. Psalm 46:1-3
Hopeless: trust in Him.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act. Psalms 37:5
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Matthew 6:25
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 36:10
The Word of God is true and it is powerful! Rest in His Word and everything will fall into place.
